Different Metal Halide Bulbs

I was looking at the 1000 watt metal halide bulbs, but I don't know the difference between the different ones. What is the difference between the MH bulb, the MH daylight bulb, the MS bulb and the MS bulb, small jacket? Is one better than the others?

Re: Different Metal Halide Bulbs

Thier are big differences in m h bulbs.Straight MH bulbs are the basic grow bulb for 1000w with most of it's spctum being on the blue side.MS bulbs have pretty much the same spectrum with a little of the reds and yellows thrown in.The Daylight bulb is a bulb used for thick veggitative growth and short stocky plants. It's spectrum is to the far left with almost all blue light being produced. The Eye Hortilux Blue bulb is a full spectrum bulb having most of the spectumr available.the small jacket are just small ms bulbs made for going into smaller hoods.
